SCHOOL HOLIDAY DRAMA WORKSHOP
Hi, Rachel here and I have some questions I would like to ask. Are you organised and ready to embrace the school holidays? Do you have a creative kid who loves being the centre of attention performing their little hearts out?
If so, oh do I get it. My daughter is born to perform. She sings around the house, dances when we’re at family gatherings and loves making up stories at bedtime. My boy, on the other hand, is a different kind of creative as he excels at art and drawing. Sketches characters and makes comic books. He’s more reserved than my daughter but loves seeing his ideas come to life.
So what will you do with your kids these school holidays?
If they crave social interaction and expressing themselves like mine, why don’t you nurture their creativity and build their confidence? Which ultimately gives them an appreciation for theatre and theatre-making.

What do the kids do and learn at The Ultimate Holiday Drama Workshop?
Let me share with you more about this school holiday drama workshop. I have been running this workshop since 1987! I know, I know. That’s a long time. Trust me, my team and I know how to get the most out of your child and give them a fabulous, creative experience.
What’s the 3 Step Program?
Step 1
LEARN THE SKILLS NEEDED TO CREATE STORIES FOR PERFORMANCE.
On Monday and Tuesday, students cover a variety of performance skills including the use of their voices, bodies and imagination.
Step 2
CREATE A PERFORMANCE FROM THE MELTING POT OF IDEAS.
On Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, students begin the creation process utilising the skills they gained in the first couple of days of our workshops.
Step 3
PERFORM FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Our workshops deliver a unique opportunity for children to learn and apply their skills to create their performances. Our workshops are organic to let your child’s imagination run wild. Which allows students to dip into their creativity to produce new scripts for a magical performance.
My 10-year-old has been attending Hennessy Speech and Drama since she was 5 and absolutely loves it. She attends both the weekly program and the school holiday workshops. I'd initially signed her up as she's very shy and wasn't comfortable speaking up in class. In those 5 years, she has signed up for every holiday workshop and made sure I've enrolled her in every term. Her confidence levels have soared and she has competed in many Eisteddfods as well as had the opportunity to compete in Short Sharp Theatre productions. She enjoys the holiday workshops as it enables her to use her imagination and portray many different characters and make new friends. She loves all of her teachers and now wants to become a stage actress.
